Living alone Duke (my cat) becomes a companion figure. I guess the manner in which I treat her makes it seem more like I think of her as my baby. The picture is particularly revealing of our relationship. She is very affectionate and she is very attached to me. She also likes to sit on my shoulder while I carry her around my apartment. However, she will not stay on my lap and want to be caressed only when she is in the mood. She has quite a character. I wonder where she picked that from!
