Boutros Boutros-Levy is my cat. He goes by many names: Boutros, Boutie, Tros, Rat Boy, Fat Boy, Senor Swanky, Stinkypotomus, Puppy Dog, Bunny Boy, The Boy, Baby J. Kumaja, Mouse, and the inscrutable Mr. Face of Pants (just to name a few). Boutie is the embodiment of happiness to me; he is happiness in its purest form. Unfettered by complicated relationships, language, and judgments, my feelings for Boutie are simply joyful love. Looking at him makes me smile. Watching him play or be a spaz makes me laugh. Hearing him purr makes me purr. His very existence draws from me a torrent of endearments in an embarrassingly ridiculous voice. If that's not happiness, what is? OK, that's enough.
