A year ago, I had a car accident and broke my leg, so I was homebound for several months. My daughter bought me a dog to keep me company. This dog, a pug named Milo, has become a great source of joy and entertainment for me. He has an ugly face that I find very funny and adorable. He has a goofy personality, which I admit reflects a bit of me. He is a constant companion, always at my heel. He always greets me with excitement, when I come home. The excitement is the same whether I'm coming home after leaving him for the day while I go to work or after leaving him for five minutes to run an errand. It doesn't matter to Milo -- he's just happy to see me. Sometimes, he is the only one in the family who greets me with that kind of excitement! Milo is also the only one in my household who obeys me without question. I like that.
