Percy, aka Pud, Pud-factor, Furhead, Percivore, and Poopy -- a couple of affectionate names for my feline companion. She's traveled more around the US than most people I know. When I drove across country, twice, she accompanied me to some of the finest sites the US has to offer: The Grand Canyon, Las Vegas, Tahoe, and Graceland, just to name a few. When I ran out of gas along the proverbial deserted highway in Nevada in the middle of the night -- she kept me warm and at least somewhat sane. I feel my life has been enriched by her playufulness and games, cuteness and cuddliness, as well as her moodiness and indifference. I treasure her conditional affection and independence, and often envy her.
